Bodega 202 aspires to make great wines from Rioja Alavesa´s most exciting ancient-mountain vineyards, wines that express the sense of the place aided by a vineyard driven approach and respect for Terroir. The high elevation provides a perfect balance to the slow ripening grapes of tempranillo, combining old vines with atitude alow us to obtain power and concentration as well as freshness and delicacy where aromatic complexity leads the expression of the Terroirs voice. Founded in 2014 by Francis and Kathleen, a USA couple that felt in love with Rioja while making the St. James Way.
