Vetus

Vetus is a more recent project founded by the Antón family of Izadi and Finca Villacreces. The verdejo grapes are sourced from an 80-year-old vineyard that lies at 820 metres above sea level in the cool area of Segovia, producing a crisp and refreshing style. Poor, sandy soils produce very low yields and brilliant freshness rarely found in the grapes sourced from other nearby areas. The climate is continental with long winters and dry, hot summers tempered by the area’s high altitude.
